Best Friends Fishing at Fireside Lodge
Bill Browne from Minneapolis, MN and Matt Bachinski from Ninety Six, SC were here for their 3rd visit to Fireside Lodge. On their day of arrival things started out excellent by them catching 12 Northern Pike and some Smallmouth and Bill already got on the board landing a Trophy 18.5-inch Smallmouth Bass. 1st full day they did great catching 35+ fish being a mix of Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass with Bill also landing a nice Muskie
Ted Payseur and Jan Anderson from West Des Moines, IA were back for their 6th visit. 1st two days had them dodging some rain but catching some very nice Smallmouth Bass each landing several, Trophy 18-19.5-inches, some 17 to 17.5 inches plus many other sizes and a few Northern Pike.
Long time return guest Ross Lagerblade from Crestwood, KY was back with his 2 sons Rex and Reese bringing for the first time very good friends father and son Al and Nate Miller. First day they tried their hat at Muskie fishing having a number for follows and Rex ended up catching a BIG Fat Tiger Muskie.
Billy Douglas, West Newman, Joel Fulmer from Memphis, TN and Mark Whitaker from Cordova, TN. were all glad to be back to Fireside Lodge for their 3rd visit. Being very good fishers they had a good first day with West and Mark catching 60+ Smallmouth Bass in their boat while Billy and Joel did just slightly under that number.
For the 21st year of our 33 year tenure Ron Vincent from Sherrills Ford, NC returned with brother Jeff from Fort Collins, CO for his 2nd trip. Travelling together were good friends father and son Eric & Cully Hess from McLean, VA for thei
Traditional Canadian Fishing Trip With Friends. Mike Stevens, from Lake Barrington, IL, Jack Schneider from Huntley, IL, Paul Lampier, Phil Seroczynski, from Elgin, Palatine , IL and Bob Lauffer and fishing buddy Richard both from Clermont, FL were back to visit us for their 5th time.
Dave Henry from PA. with son Jacob and good friend John Lindsey from Bloomington, IL and Tim Travney from Hershey, PA. were back for their long standing traditional fishing trip to Fireside Lodge.
Returning to Fireside Lodge, Better known as the McCollam Group, Father Jim, sons Jim and Ryan, Jim Havlin, and newcomers John and Chris Golden from Orland Park, IL we so thrilled to be back fishing with us at Fireside Lodge the hit the water running not even noticing the severe cold front with high winds and rain.
Donn Loy from Kearney NE, Tom Wiersema and Doug Richardson , from Laramie and Casper, Wyoming were all smiles and glad to be back fly-fishing at Fireside Lodge
1st evening and day despite high winds they caught some good size Smallmouth Bass.
Stephen Thomas with son Gage returned for their 2nd time and brought for the 1st time Father-In-Law / Grandfather Dave . DOA and in just 6 hours of fishing these three caught well over 100 Smallmouth Bass having 5 triples and over 10 doubles, and all the Smallmouth were 17 to 20 inches.
