Summer (July-August): With rising temperatures, Walleye retreat to deeper, cooler waters, often between 20 to 35 feet. Vertical jigging with live minnows or soft plastic baits in these depths yields excellent results.
Fall (September-October): Walleye return to mid-depth ranges, feeding aggressively to prepare for winter. Both trolling with crankbaits and jigging with worms or leeches are productive during this period.
